GPON NOKIA OLT Cards

GPON NOKIA OLT Cards

NOKIA offers GPON OLT cards with the following features:

  • 16 GPON Ports: These cards provide 16 GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) ports, allowing the OLT to connect to and serve multiple GPON subscribers.
  • SFP Optical Connectors via Plugs: The ports utilize SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) optical connectors via plugs, which are commonly used for easy and hot-swappable optical connectivity.
  • Optical Transmitter and Receiver Monitoring: These cards are equipped with monitoring capabilities for both the optical transmitters and receivers, allowing for real-time performance and status monitoring.
  • Type B Redundant PON (Only in FGLT-B Model): In the FGLT-B model, Type B Redundant PON support is available. This redundancy ensures that in case of a PON failure, an alternative path is available to maintain network connectivity.
  • Support for SFP OTDR: These cards support SFP OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), which is used for optical fiber testing and fault localization.
  • Downstream/Upstream Capacity: These GPON cards provide a total capacity of 40Gbps downstream (from OLT to subscribers) and 20Gbps upstream (from subscribers to OLT). This capacity allows for high-speed data transfer in both directions.

These GPON OLT cards are designed to deliver high-speed and reliable GPON connectivity for subscribers, and their monitoring and redundancy features contribute to maintaining network integrity and performance.

FGLT-A – Is not recommended to use,  it has different Chipset, problem with temperature, dont support Type B Redundant PON. This is produces for the first time in 2010.
FGLT-B – It is newer then FGLT-B and all bug that were in FGLT-A are fixed in FGLT-B. It supports SFP OTDR. This is produced in 2014.
